This is the sixth year of NIP's involvement in this once weekly activity, when NIP's volunteers and their fantastic friends work with the Trustees of St Matthias Conservation Trust in providing a hot meal, cosy bed and hearty breakfast for fifteen homeless men & women. The guests are referred by GROWTH's officers who work with the guests to progress them off the streets into work, or hostel or in some cases, back home. Guests come from all over the world, including Tower Hamlets! Last year we had a young female who worked in one of the city Bank's until she became ill; unable to pay her rent she was evicted & hit the streets! We have learnt many lessons from our guests - bad luck could happen to any of us - so count your blessings!
