Neighbours in Poplar offers a wide variety of services to our clients. The lives of Elderly and vulnerable members of the community are greatly enriched by the services our volunteers provide on a daily basis.

DRIVING
One of the primary difficulties our clients face is a lack of transportation. Neighbours in Poplar alleviates this by:
Taking people out, delivering meals and taking people on trips and social events.
ESCORTING
One of the many ways volunteers can help is by giving us a day or half a day to help as an escort with one of our experienced drivers. We have a variety of different roles for our escorts, from helping frail people get out to do their own shopping to going on day trips.
befriending
One of the key things that set Neighbours in Poplar apart is the level of care we take in developing relationships between our volunteers and clients. We dedicate a considerable amount of time and energy to ensure that every event, big and small has a friendly and inclusive atmosphere that benefits all involved.
a helping hand
Often, the first - and most difficult step to becoming part of something bigger is having the courage to ask for help. We aim to make this easier, and in turn help our community become stronger by developing bonds throughout, transcending age, faith or place of origin.
office support
We always need help with clerical tasks such as typing, folding and sorting regular mail-outs.
